# Track provisioning and manage your domains

> The four-step order status board, the Domains page and its three status pills, and what to do when one needs attention.

## Before you begin

* An order, placed. With none at all the status board reads **No setup in progress**, and a workspace with no domains and no order in flight gets an empty state instead of a domain list. ## Steps

  <Step title="Open the status board">
    While an order is queued or being built, a strip at the top of the Domains page counts the
    domains on the way, and a matching strip on the Email Accounts page counts the mailboxes.
    **View progress** on either one opens the status board. A domains-only order has no mailboxes
    to announce, so it shows the strip on the Domains page alone.

    Three other ways in, for when you've closed it: each placeholder mailbox row on the Email
    Accounts page has its own **Progress** button, the **Add senders** panel leads with a strip
    for an order still in flight, and the order wizard hands you straight to the board the moment
    you place an order.

  <Step title="Read the four stages">
    **Order received** is timestamped to when you placed the order. **Domains registered** covers
    registering the domains and configuring their DNS records: SPF, DKIM, DMARC. **Mailboxes
    created** is the point each mailbox appears on your Email Accounts page on its own. **Warmup
    started** is each mailbox beginning to build its sending reputation; if you left warm-up off
    when you ordered, that stage says you can enroll the mailboxes later instead.

    A finished stage carries a tick. The stage being worked on pulses, and the ones after it stay
    greyed out. The board polls the order on its own until it reaches an end state, so there is
    nothing to refresh.

  <Step title="Wait it out, or cancel">
    While the order is still open, a **Why the wait?** note under the timeline explains that new
    domains need their DNS records to propagate across the internet before mail flows reliably, and
    that rushing that step is how email ends up in spam. The row beside it says we'll email you
    when the order is ready, and that it's safe to close the window. **Done for now** closes the
    board without cancelling anything. **View my domains** closes it and goes to the Domains page.

    Until our team starts work, a **Cancel this order** link sits under those two buttons.
    It asks you to confirm (**Cancel order** goes through), and the domain and mailbox credits the
    order had reserved are released back to your balance. Once setup starts, the link is gone and
    cancelling is a support request.

  <Step title="Check your Domains page">
    Each domain from an open order sits there as a dashed placeholder card, marked **Setting up**,
    until the domain itself appears. After that it is a card with its name, a status pill, its
    mailbox count and its renewal date.

    The pill collapses everything the platform tracks internally into three states. **Active** is a
    domain that's delivering, including one already in its normal renewal window. **Setting up** is
    one still being provisioned. **Attention** is everything else: a domain waiting on its
    nameservers, an expired one, or one that hit a problem. Hovering an **Attention** pill says
    what it means: something needs a look, and our team has been notified.

    A domain the platform holds nameservers for carries a **Nameservers** toggle at the end of its
    row. Opening it lists the hosts, with **Copy all** and a copy button on each one. The line
    under them says you only need these if you manage that domain's registrar yourself.

## What happens next

  The pending strips are gone from both pages, and the board's hero reads **Your infrastructure is
  live** over a **See my senders** button.

Mailboxes land on the Email Accounts page by themselves, and warm-up starts on them automatically
when the order asked for it. Campaigns don't send from a mailbox while it is building its
reputation, so there is nothing to switch on and nothing to wait next to.

## Troubleshooting

    The first unfinished stage turns red, and its caption reads that we hit an issue setting up
    part of your infrastructure, that our team has been notified and is on it. A **Contact
    support** button sits beside it. The order is no longer open at that point, so the note, the
    reassurance row and the two buttons under the timeline are gone with it.

  <Accordion title="The order was rejected, or I cancelled it">
    A panel above the timeline reads **This order couldn't be completed** or **This order was
    cancelled**, with the reason under it where there is one, and confirms that your domain and
    mailbox credits were released: free to use on a new order. The timeline itself stays on
    screen.

  <Accordion title="A domain shows Attention">
    Our team is notified for you, so there is usually nothing to do but wait. The exception is a
    domain waiting on its nameservers that you registered yourself: open **Nameservers** on that
    card and point it at those hosts from your registrar.

    Renewing, transferring and turning auto-renew on or off are not self-service: contact support
    for any of the three. To hear about a renewal before it bites, turn on **Domain expiration
    alerts** in your profile's notification settings, which emails you when a sending domain is
    about to expire. The in-app bell shows it either way. If a mailbox on that domain is not
