By the end of this page you’ve added a credit package to your account, and you know what its confirmation screen is telling you before you confirm.

The usage popover has no sidebar entry. It opens from the pill in the header, which only appears on a wide window. On a narrow one the same card sits in the navigation drawer instead. (HeaderCredits does contain a swipeable-sheet branch for small screens, but the header only mounts it above the lg breakpoint while that branch fires below sm, so it is unreachable, and must not be described.) The pill itself is visible to anyone with a balance; only the upgrade button needs the subscription permission. If you cannot find this in your sidebar, your workspace may have a custom menu configuration. Contact support and we will check it for you.

Before you begin

  • A package is added to your own plan subscription, so your account needs one. Without a plan the purchase cannot complete: start at Change plan, add-ons or cancel.
  • A card has to be on file already. Add it on the Billing page first: see Payment methods and invoices.
  • Running out of credits does not lock you out of this screen. The account area is exempt from the lockout wall. A lapsed plan is different: it locks the app and leaves nothing for a package to attach to, so change the plan instead of buying credits.
  • In a partner-branded workspace, the profile menu only offers Subscription to the partner who owns the branding.

Steps

1

Open the Add-ons card

Choose and scroll to the Add-ons card at the foot of the page. Its header button, Add more credits, opens the package picker; while you have no add-ons yet the middle of the card offers the same thing as “Add credits”. (The Add button beside your balance in the header popover does not come here. It goes to plan selection. See Reading the credits and usage popover.)
2

Pick a package

Each card carries the credits the package adds, a monthly price and a cost-per-lead figure, so packages compare against each other on one line. One of them is flagged “Most Popular” (1). Choose Select (2), or the card itself, to continue. If your plan bills yearly, each card also shows the yearly figure under the monthly one.
3

Review the confirmation summary

The chosen package sits at the top with its credits and cost per lead, and an Order Summary underneath breaks the charge into Credits Package (1), Processing Fee and Total (2). A green line confirms the credits land in your account immediately after the purchase. An amber line appears alongside it whenever there is no card on file. Choose Back to pick a different package.
4

Confirm the purchase

With a card on file, the button reads “Complete Purchase” and finishes the purchase. Without one it reads “Add Payment & Purchase” and opens a checkout dialog instead. That dialog only offers card fields to an account that has no plan, so on an account with a plan there is nothing to fill in. Add the card on the Billing page and come back.

What happens next

The dialog switches to a success step, a toast names the package you bought, and the dialog closes itself once your balance has been reloaded. The credits are usable straight away.
The change is invoiced immediately rather than at your next renewal, and unless you are on a trial your subscription’s billing date moves to the day you bought the package. A package does not add credits once. It becomes a line item on your account’s subscription, alongside your plan, so it is billed again every period on the same interval your plan uses: monthly if you pay monthly, yearly if you pay yearly. Your credit allowance is re-added from every item on that subscription, so the package keeps granting its credits for as long as it stays there. That is what the modal’s own note means when it says credits do not expire: they are not a batch that drains and is gone. It does not work like the credits you started with, which are a one-time grant with a deadline. The package attaches to your account, not to one workspace: the same account that holds your card and your plan. You can remove it later from the same Add-ons card: the trash icon beside it takes it off the subscription there and then, so its credits stop counting toward your allowance and it is not billed again.

Troubleshooting

The package’s price is matched to the interval your plan bills on, so an account with no plan has nothing to match and the purchase stops before it is sent. Choose a plan first: see Change plan, add-ons or cancel.
That dialog only draws card fields for an account without a plan, and this purchase needs one. Add or replace the card on the Billing page, then buy the package: see Payment methods and invoices.
Expected. Both go to plan selection, never to a credits-only purchase: see Reading the credits and usage popover. Use the Add-ons card on the Subscription page instead, as in the steps above.
A toast names what went wrong, or reads “Purchase failed. Please try again.” when the request failed without a specific message. Nothing is charged until it succeeds, so you can fix what it named and confirm again from the same summary.
