Read the panel first
The Daily Usage column shows today’s count over the account’s current limit, with a small lightning icon beside it. Click the icon and Smart Limit Status opens: a chip naming the state the calculation ended in, and under it the figures behind that state. Hovering the icon first says whether the feature is on for that account at all: Smart Daily Limit Active or Smart Daily Limit Disabled.Daily limit is set to 0 during quarantine
A new email account with Smart Daily Limit on sends no campaign email while it is in quarantine. The chip reads In Quarantine, the body is headed Quarantine Period, and the description says it plainly: “This sender is in its quarantine period. Sending is paused while the warmup process establishes deliverability.” The progress line (1) counts the days done against the length of the window, with the days remaining beside it, and the box under it (2) is the consequence: Daily limit is set to 0 during quarantine. Quarantine runs 30 days. Its length is one value for the whole platform, not a per-workspace one, so nothing on your side shortens it. Warm-up mail is not affected. The daily limit governs campaign email. A limit of 0 takes the account out of the campaign queue and leaves its warm-up traffic alone. The number is lower than the one you set
Once quarantine ends and a warm-up is reporting on the account, the chip reads Active and the panel shows its work: Deliverability Scores for Gmail and Outlook, the Matched Rule those scores landed on with its base limit, Ramp-up Progress as a week number and how much of that base limit has been released (reading Ramp-up complete once all of it has), and finally the Calculated Limit. Two figures sit in the same panel and they do not have to agree. Current Daily Limit (1) is the number the account is running on. Calculated Limit (4) is what Smart Daily Limit works out when you open the panel, from the deliverability scores (2) and the rule they matched (3), put through the ramp. Weak deliverability on either provider, or an early week in the ramp, lands that second figure well below whatever you typed in by hand. Smart Daily Limit covers what it means when the two disagree. While the feature is on, the number is not yours to set. The panel says so from the other side: switch Smart Daily Limit off and its body becomes “Daily limit is managed manually. Enable Smart Limit to automatically optimize based on warmup performance.” One more reason a settled account is not identical two days running: a percentage variation can be applied to the daily limit, worked out fresh for each account each day so it holds steady within the day. Its size is a platform setting, and it is zero (no variation at all) unless PipeLime turns it on.The chip reads “No Warmup”
An email account can have Smart Daily Limit on and still have nothing calculated for it. With no warm-up linked there are no deliverability scores to work from, so the chip reads No Warmup, a warning box headed Smart Limit is enabled but not taking effect appears above the body, and the line under it is “This sender doesn’t have an active warmup. The daily limit is not being automatically managed.” The panel’s own advice is the fix: start a warm-up for that mailbox. In that state Current Daily Limit is not a calculation. It is the number the account is already carrying, and Smart Daily Limit does not move it while there is nothing to calculate from. The same box has a second version, saying the warm-up is paused or expired rather than missing. That one can appear beside an Active chip, because the scores still came back. What you can change, and what you can’t
The quarantine length, the ramp, and which deliverability scores map to which base limit are platform settings: one set of values for every workspace, with no override and no screen to edit them. What you control is the switch. At the foot of the panel, Disable Smart Limit turns it off for that one account and Enable Smart Limit turns it back on. The switch is there only for a role that can change email accounts; a read-only role sees the whole breakdown with nothing under it. For the trend rather than today’s number, View capacity timeline at the bottom of the panel opens that account’s own timeline, and the Sending capacity timeline card on Email Accounts (collapsed until you open it) draws sends and projected ramp-up across all of your accounts. The card ends with the caution that “Projections assume today’s deliverability rates remain stable. Daily limits will adjust automatically as deliverability evolves.”Related
